K8K Update (Jul 01)
K8K (American Samoa) is QRV since June 28 21:43Z. Antennas are up and FT8 is being used. Unfortunately it wasn't possible to bring Spiderbeam in this DX-pedition, due to the luggage restrictions on flight to/from Lord Howe island earlier on the path. Today couple attempts were made to work in CW on 20m, but only 4 QSOs were made. Weak signal levels and few stations heard.
K8K will be on 80m band for 3 nights, then 80m vertical will be transformed for 160m band.
Few photos added.
